On a June afternoon in Markham, Ontario, Kevin Zack walked onto the stage at Thornlea Secondary School to get his high school diploma. As Kevin shook the principal's hand, he looked at his sweetheart, Mio Sakamoto, who had also graduated alongside him. After the ceremony, Kevin and Mio were walking along the school track hand in hand. Mio told Kevin that she was moving to Montreal, Quebec.
