WHO backs new malaria vaccine that's cheaper, more available, but won't replace other measures

Research suggests the new three-dose vaccine, called R21/Matrix-M, is more than 75 per cent effective and protection is maintained for at least another year with a booster. It's cheaper and more available than the current vaccine, but won't replace other measures, experts say.
