Cree sisters accuse childhood abuser of Indigenous identity fraud in court
An Ontario woman, who was accused of claiming a “bogus” Algonquin identity for personal gain, has been held liable for the physical and verbal abuse of three Cree sisters in the 1960s and '70s. Katherine Cannon denied the allegations and is appealing the ruling.
